Wow, I just read your response to what High School was like for you and I can totally relate. Im in the 11th grade and ive found that throughout high school and even now all I do is worry. My dad has always told me that college is better, however it seems really daunting. I dont really have a large group of friends but we are super close. They arent going to be going to the same college as me, and change is kinda scary. Was it daunting for u?Like was it easy making new friends on ur first day? x

so easy! Great people are everywhere in college. They are in your classes, in your dorm, out around campus, at the book store, out at night, and if you party you will meet people in the social scene as well. If your university has a greek system and you are nervous about making friends you can always Rush a sorority/fraternity. I promise you, you will have so many friends in college you won’t know what to do with them all :) at least thats how it was for me. My best friend and I had a running joke (remember this was a just a joke, but I thought I’d share to make you feel more comfortable about making friends in college), that we weren’t take anymore friend applications at the moment and we’ll let them know when a position opens haha Thats how many friends there were!! No but, honestly, I guarantee if you are real, honest, loyal and outgoing you will have absolutely no issue cultivating relationships in college that will last you a life time. Furthermore I’m sad that you are having a kind of tough time through HS , but everyone does, even the people that seem like they are on the top of the world are having a tough time. Just get through it and do your best and be yourself, and be nice to other people even when they aren’t nice to you and you will come out on top, and you can look forward to awesome college times ahead of you.
